Ailalelo Castes Tintas

Throughout the Avia Valley there are small “almost forgotten” plots between 50 and 80 years old planted with a medley of native varieties, as is the tradition in the area.

Here Sousón, Caiño longo, Bastardo, Carabuñeira and some others coexist in small productions, highlighting the Atlantic character in a red wine that is made in a French wood vat. It is not made every year, only in exceptional vintages.

Tasting notes: It is an elegant and very dynamic red wine, with persistent red fruit: raspberry, red cherry, red cranberry, a nose of deep intensity with an intense aftertaste of rose and violet with a herbaceous and fresh reminiscence of lavender and violets with pepper and flint. Long, it persists with a background of toasted bread and cedar that defines a wine with a long life.
